November Girl was never simply a thematic set of images exploring loss and grief, it was always a lot more than that, ultimately November Girl was defiant, hopeful and fiercely intelligent in her grief. She embraced nature, art, memories and the values she held dear. Above all she found a way to celebrate life in her own way and believed in herself.

Condition: November Girl Portrait: Retouched by Sam. Printers proof used for original book production. The thing about printers proofs is that they suffer from robust handling by the printers but at the same time they are artistically perfect. There is one surface crease in bottom right of image (across the hair to the right of the jaw) and some minor creases diagonal to the bottom edge which do not mar the viewing. There is also a crease across the white area in the top right hand corner (see close-up image) and three very small tears perpendicular to the edge at the top of the print and a crease parallel to the edge at the edge top left.
