Gill from ‘Five Girls’ (1962) is an eternal favourite in the quest to define natural beauty. A fine art student who had never modelled before, she exemplified Sam’s modelling collaborators in the 60’s. Instead of photographing famous actresses and models, Sam photographed unknown models and turned them into icons of their generation.
