Unique set of three Prints forming a humorous narrative
This was a fun personal project shot in Sam’s Glebe Place studio just off the King’s Road in London in the 70’s. The project produced a variety of poses and different sized prints. This set of three 8”x10” (roughly 29.0cm x 40.0cm) prints has been assembled into a light hearted storyboard sequence and there is only one copy. The set is unique. One of the Naked bride prints - a single bigger print with a different pose from the same shoot - was first offered for sale at a Drouot auction in Paris in 2023 and sold for €6,350.

Print Specs: All three prints in the set are 8” x 10” (29.0cm x 40.0cm) print, a classic smaller size for the archive. They are all three vintage silver gelatin from c.1970.
Condition: All three prints are overall in excellent condition. All three required light retouching which is normal and this has been done in-house.
Rarity: There are other prints from this shoot with different poses and lighting but both the sequence and the individual prints are the only copies. This is a hyper rare offering…as rare as it gets in the world of photo collecting.
Unique Offer: Every buyer of our vintage silver gelatin prints receives a contemporary copy of the same print entirely for free with a view to making ownership more flexible. To my knowledge we are the only estate offering this service. These prints which we normally sell for $1,350 occasionally come onto the secondary market for up to double or more in value. They are meticulously retouched and printed in-house on museum grade Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta paper. The scale is the same as our estate standard size inkjet prints which are 24 inches (61.0cm) on the long axis.
Normally there is one free estate print per silver gelatin print but in this case I have printed all three as a single print in their intended right to left sequence. The scale is the same as our estate ‘large’ print, 36” x 24” - roughly 92.0cm x 61cm for the media. See attached image of the print. Please note that while all three prints are physically the same scale for layout optimisation purposes the contemporary triptych print shows the landscape format print as relatively larger.
Provenance: All prints sold by the estate including vintage and posthumous works are accompanied by detailed certificates of provenance which we call PIN (Print Identification Number) Certificates. The prints and the certificates are connected by a unique five figure hand written number on the reverse which is photographed and reproduced on the certificates. To the best of our knowledge this system is unmmatched in the industry.
Shipping and Tariffs: All prints in the archive ship for free including packing and insurance. Our USA clients are routinely subject to little or no import charges.
